NFL Betting Preview Dolphins vs. Ravens

With week nine wrapped up, the Baltimore Ravens (6-2) will head to Hard Rock Stadium to take on the Miami Dolphins (2-7) on Thursday Night Football in week ten. The Baltimore Ravens escaped with a win against Minnesota with an overtime victory 34-31. The Dolphins, on the other hand, took out the Texans at home 17-9.

Both of these teams are trending in opposite directions; the Ravens have the first place locked down in the AFC North, while the Dolphins sit in dead last in the AFC East. Both teams look to stay in the win column in week ten, so let’s check out how these two teams match up.

Baltimore Ravens Betting Preview: Justin Tucker Nails a Game-Winner Again!

The AFC North-leading Ravens bounced back from a disappointing loss to the Bengals by retaking first place with a win over Minnesota. Justin Tucker came up clutch again, nailing his second game-winner of the year, and is now six for six on field goal attempts in overtime in his career.

The Ravens looked abysmal, moving the ball in the first half with Lamar Jackson tossing two interceptions, while the offense was held to ten points in the first half. They were able to rally from a 14 point deficit in the third quarter, with Jackson throwing for three touchdowns while adding 120 yards on the ground.

Baltimore is resilient, having won three times this season after trailing by double digits in the second half. The offense has had to scratch and claw their way back into games, ranking second in total offense per game (427.9) and first in rushing (161.6).

The defense had an ugly first half but held steady, conceding 14 points in the second half. Be that as it may, the defense has just seven takeaways on the year but has been fantastic against the run. The rushing defense has held firm, ranking fifth in the league, allowing 91 yards on the ground per game.

Miami Dolphins Betting Preview: Dolphins Get Sloppy Win, Commit Five Turnovers

The Miami Dolphins were without starter Tua Tagovailoa, but it didn’t matter as the Dolphins were able to secure a victory, ending their seven-game losing streak.

Last Sunday, the offense struggled against the Texans, who rank 28th in the league in yards allowed per game (385.9). Miami committed three turnovers in the first half, with backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett throwing two interceptions and fumbling on a sack.

The offensive line was a big problem with the rushing attack gaining just 47 yards and Brissett taking four sacks. They will hope to have Tagovailoa back as the offense is averaging a pitiful 17.2 points per game and ranking 30th in total offense.

Defensively, the Dolphins got some huge turnovers. The secondary snagged three interceptions from quarterback Tyrod Taylor and recovered one fumble. Miami has plenty of work to do, ranking 30th in total yards allowed but now has 13 turnovers, ranking tenth in the league.

Betting Lines & Odds

I love the Dolphins this week. The Dolphins have been playing great defense with Xavien Howard back at the corner spot. The defense has allowed an average of 17.5 points in their last two games, while the Ravens continue to play close games.

The Dolphins should understand who will be running their offense before Thursday’s game, but it won’t matter. The Raven offense has looked lost at times, and Lamar will have a tough time against the Dolphin secondary. The Miami defense should keep this one within one score. Take the Dolphins and the points.
