NFL Betting Preview Bengals vs. Chiefs January 30, 2022

The Cincinnati Bengals will face the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC championship game at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, January 30 at 3 p.m. ET. The Bengals advanced to the AFC championship game after defeating the Titans 19-16 in the divisional round. Meanwhile, the Chiefs defeated the Bills 42-36 in overtime in a dramatic shootout in primetime.

Cincinnati Bengals Betting Preview:

After overcoming the Las Vegas Raiders in the wild card round and the Tennessee Titans on the road in the divisional round on Saturday, the Bengals have moved to the conference championship game for the first time since 1988. The Bengals’ defense was outstanding in their win over the Titans. Cincinnati sacked Ryan Tannehill once and intercepted him three times, holding Tennessee to 16 points.

Burrow has been on a tear during his last five starts, emerging as a late MVP candidate and a front-runner for Comeback Player of the Year. Joe Mixon, who is coming off his greatest season as the Bengals’ starting running back, provides him with a lot of rushing help. In addition, Cincinnati also has a fantastic trio of wide receivers in Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd that makes this offense one of the best in the league.

Joe Burrow threw for 348 yards and became the first quarterback to win a divisional game in his first two seasons after being taken first overall. Cincinnati defeated Kansas City 34-31 just a few weeks ago to open the new year, making this game a must-see.

Kansas City Chiefs Betting Preview: Chiefs Looking to Avenge Early Loss to Bills

After a back-and-forth struggle with the Buffalo Bills, the Kansas City Chiefs emerge triumphantly. In the waning seconds, QB Patrick Mahomes led an epic 44-yard drive, with 13 seconds remaining, resulting in a 49-yard field goal by PK Harrison Butker, tying the game and forcing overtime. The Chiefs won the coin toss and marched downfield before scoring on an 8-yard touchdown throw from Mahomes to tight end Travis Kelce.

The Chiefs’ offense and Patrick Mahomes were eventually too much for the Bills to handle in an offensive brawl, totaling 552 yards. Mahomes threw for 378 yards and three touchdowns in his first ten playoff games, giving him the most career passing touchdowns (25) by a quarterback.

In Week 17 of the regular season, the Bengals and Chiefs met, and Kansas City suffered one of its most heartbreaking losses of the season. The defense will have to play better against a good Cincy offense after giving up 422 yards and four touchdowns to Josh Allen.

The Chiefs are a motivated and seasoned group of players that have been in the spotlight and understand the poise and discipline it takes to play in these big games. On the other hand, the Bengals have been gaining ground and playing with unflinching confidence.

The Bengals will travel to Kansas City with the intent of surprising and remaining tenacious and brave, while the Chiefs must be ready for a team that has nothing to lose on the road. I love the Cincinnati Bengals moxie and grit, and I think they will keep this game close and possibly win outright.
