UFC Fight Night 104 Betting Total Plays

Bet the totals in the UFC Fight Night 104 event on Saturday night.

Last week, we went 3-0 at UFC on Fox 23 with our total plays and we are looking to continue our winning ways this week at UFC Fight Night 104 from Houston, Texas. The UFC has 12 fights scheduled for this week’s card and we are picking 3 to handicap and give you total recommendations on.

Tecia Torres vs. Bec Rawlings

The first fight we are analyzing is Tecia Torres vs. Bec Rawlings. This fight is actually a rematch from The Ultimate Fighter Season 20, where Torres won a unanimous 2 round decision over Rawlings. This fight seems to be a lopsided bout on paper as Tecia Torres is 7-1 and Bec Rawlings is 7-5.

Tecia Torres has a stat that most wouldn’t be very proud of in the fact that every single one of her fights has gone the distance. She has never been finished and has never stopped any of her opponents inside the distance. She has fought in 8 fights that went the distance in her professional career and also went the distance in her 3 fights on the Ultimate Fighter Season 20. Torres also went the distance in 5 of her 7 amateur fights on the regional circuit.

Bec Rawlings has also gone the distance in 3 of her last 5 fights. She will be traveling to Houston, Texas from Brisbane, Queensland Australia so expect a sluggish start from Rawlings.

This fight is pretty basic as neither fighter really has that one punch KO power and neither really scare me with their submission game. I look for a very slow first round by both fighters, followed by a stand up battle in rounds 2 and 3. This fight will go the distance and will earn my money as a 3 Unit Play on the Over 2.5 Rounds -320!

Alexa Grasso vs. Felice Herrig

The next fight I’m looking at is Grasso vs. Herrig in the women’s strawweight division. This fight is the co-main event and is scheduled for 3 rounds.

Alexa Grasso is 9-0 and in her 9 wins, she has split 5 decision victories with 4 KO victories. Grasso likes to use her footwork and grappling to drag a fight into the later rounds. In her UFC debut, she dominated Heather Jo Clark in striking and in grappling.

Felice Herrig is 11-6 overall and 2-1 in the UFC. She is a physical specimen of fitness and has decent cardio. In her last 2 wins, she won by submission early in the fight. In her last 2 losses, she lost by decision going the distance. You have to ask yourself, do you think Herrig can beat Grasso? 12 out of her 17 professional fights have gone the distance and only 3 fights total have gone past the 2.5 round mark!

I’m not a fan of these odds but I am a fan of money so I will play the smart 2 Unit Play on Grasso vs. Herrig OVER 2.5 Rounds at -220

Anthony Hamilton vs. Marcel Fortuna

The final fight were handicapping is Anthony Hamilton vs. Marcel Fortuna in the heavyweight division.

Hamilton is coming into this fight off a tough loss to Francis N’Gannou, who is now being talked about in the heavyweight title picture. He is a 7 fight UFC vet and has an overall record of 15-6. In Hamilton’s 21 professional fights, 14 of them have ended before the final bell! He is a heavy handed striker that has legitimate 1 punch KO power.

He will be taking on UFC newcomer, Marcel Fortuna. Fortuna has not had an official fight since June 2015. Fortuna was last seen on the Ultimate Fighter Season 23, where he lost a decision in the light heavyweight division against Cory Hendricks. Fortuna will now move up to the heavyweight division and take on Hamilton.

When Hamilton puts those big hands on your chin, you go to sleep! When Fortuna gets his arms around your neck, you go to sleep! One way or another, someone is going to sleep here! No way I see this fight going past the 1.5 round mark. My play will be a 2 Unit Play on Hamilton vs. Fortuna UNDER 1.5 Rounds -110.
