UFC 209 Betting Total Picks

UFC 209 Betting Tips

The UFC is in Las Vegas, Nevada this week for UFC 209 and we are back giving you 3 total plays that we like for this week. I hope you have been following us this entire year as we have gone 11-2 on the year and are up +20 units. For a simple $100 dollar bettor, you would be up a total of $1,885.00 Let’s keep the momentum going and nail 3 more this week!

Tyson Pedro vs. Paul Craig

When it comes to fighters that look for finishes, Tyson Pedro and Paul Craig take the cake! Neither one of these guys have ever gone the distance and with only 1 fight each in the UFC, they will be looking for a quick finish in this fight. Both of these guys combine for 12 wins by submission out of 14 pro fights.

Tyson Pedro will be traveling to the US (Las Vegas) from Queensland, Australia and the long flight, added with the excitement of this being his first fight in the US and that leads me to believe Pedro’s gameplan will be to get in and get out as quick as possible. Paul Craig will be coming to Las Vegas by way of Airdrie, Scotland, another very long trip! This is Craig’s 2nd fight in the states but first time in Las Vegas. I predict someone is getting choked out in this fight early in the 1st round!

  • Pick: Pedro vs. Craig UNDER 1.5 Rounds -185 for 2 Units

Luri Alcantara vs. Luke Sanders

Luri Alcantara will be taking on Luke Sanders in the UFC’s Bantamweight Division. Both of these fighters are coming into this fight off a 1st round submission win.

Alcantara submitted veteran Brad Pickett in the 1st round at UFC 204. In 6 out of his last 8 fights, Alcantara has gone the distance in the fight. Sanders submitted Maximo Blanco in the 1st round of UFC Fight Night 81. Sanders will be coming into this fight off a 1 year layoff so he will most likely be sluggish and have some cage rust.

This fight will end up being one of those fights where we hear the crowd booing and at the end of each round, you run to the bathroom or get a drink. I can’t foresee there being much action in this fight and neither fighter should have many chances for a submission. That leaves me thinking this fight is going the distance.

  • Pick: Alcantara vs. Sanders OVER 2.5 Rounds -155 for 2 Units

Mirsad Bektic vs. Darren Elkins

Read many of the expert articles on this fight and you will read that Mirsad Bektic is the next big thing in the UFC. Bektic is 11-0 overall and is 4-0 in the UFC. This fight is by far his biggest step up in competition as he will be facing a 15 fight UFC veteran in Darren Elkins.

Elkins is coming into this fight on a 3 fight win streak. He is 21-5 overall and 11-4 in the UFC. Elkins is a scrappy striker that has a equally dangerous ground game. Both of these fighters have the ability to end this fight early but I think they will both utilize a gameplan to keep it on the feet.

This fight has the making of a great fight! I firmly believe this fight will go late into the 3rd round, if not the distance!

  • Pick: Bektic vs. Elkins OVER 2.5 Rounds -245 for 1 Unit
