UFC Fight Night 108 Totals

UFC Fight Night 108

This week, the UFC is back with an event in Nashville, Tennessee for UFC Fight Night 108. This event is headlined by Cub Swanson and Artem Lobov. We have been absolutely hot in MMA going 2-0 last week to raise our 2017 record to 15-3 and up 25 units!!!! You read that right, if you have followed us from the first of the year, you are up 25 units on the year as we have only lost 3 plays.

John Dodson (19-8) vs. Eddie Wineland (23-11-1)

The next fight we are interested in is a top 10 fight in the bantamweight division between #7 John Dodson and #10 Eddie Wineland. Dodson comes into this fight off losing 2 out of the last 3 fights against John Lineker by Split Decision and Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson by Unanimous Decision, both which were 5 rounds. Two fights back, Dodson made the move from Flyweight to Bantamweight and is 1-1 since.

Eddie Wineland comes into this fight off back to back wins over Frankie Saenz and Takeya Mizugaki, both by KO. His last 3 wins overall have all come by way of KO and he has a total of 14 knockout victories in his career.

Wineland has one punch KO power but to use that, he will have to catch up with Dodson and cut off the cage to prevent him using his tremendous movement. Dodson has never been finished and all 8 of his losses come by decision. This fight has the making of a long drawn out fight that is going to go the distance! I absolutely love the over prop here as I don’t think either fighter will finish the other.

Pick: John Dodson vs. Eddie Wineland Over 2.5 Rounds -150 for 3 Units

Jake Ellenberger (31-12) vs. Mike Perry (9-1)

Jake Ellenberger will square off against Mike Perry on Saturday night in what is going to be an exciting fight that will have you on the edge of your seat waiting for a knockout. Ellenberger is 31-12 overall and 10-8 in the UFC. Ellenberger has 18 wins by knockout and has also been KO’d 4 times in his career. He has also become very “Chinny” as he has been KO’d in the 1st round in 2 out of his last 3 fights.

Mike Perry is 9-1 overall and 2-1 in the UFC. All 9 of his victories come by way of knockout! Perry is a durable, steel chinned fighter that likes to stand right in front of his opponent and swing widely. He has bad striking but he is heavy handed so if he connects, with good form or not, the opponent will go down. He is very susceptible to getting hit as he carries his hands very low and drops his hands when he throws punches.

Both of these fighters have the ability to knock out anyone standing in front of them with one punch! Ellenberger has shown that he can be knocked out and Mike Perry has yet to really fight someone with the type of knockout power that Ellenberger possesses. I am very confident that this fight won’t make it out of the 1st round.

Pick: Jake Ellenberger vs. Mike Perry Under 1.5 Rounds +110 for 2 Units
