Stanley Cup Finals Game 6: Penguins vs. Predators – June 11, 2017

NHL: Stanley Cup Playoffs-San Jose Sharks at Nashville Predators

In Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals, the Nashville Predators will host the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Stanley Cup will be in the house, as the Pittsburgh Penguins are one win away from winning back to back titles. The Penguins are coming off a blowout win in Game 5 at home.

For the Predators, they are looking to keep their season alive. Nashville has played twice at home this series, and won both games. Nashville barely made the postseason, as they finished 8th in the Western Conference. The Nashville Predators are -135 over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday.

Nashville Looking to Keep Domination at Home

The Nashville Predators were fantastic at home this regular season, and have continued that in the postseason. Nashville lost just one game in the postseason leading up to their final game. The Predators ranked right in the middle of the National Hockey League in goals, with 2.9 per game, and defense, allowing 2.7.

The Predators in the postseason have seen their roster really step up. P.K. Subban is the big name, but been more defensive than others. Subban has 10 assists and 2 goals. Filip Forsberg leads the team with 9 goals and 7 assists, while Roman Josi has 8 assists and 6 goals.

Penguins Seeking Back to Back Titles

The Pittsburgh Penguins are looking for back to back Stanley Cup titles. Pittsburgh downed the San Jose Sharks a season ago. The Penguins in the postseason took care of the Columbus Blue Jackets, Washington Capitals and the Ottawa Senators to get to the Stanley Cup Finals. The final two series went 7 games.

The Penguins are led by a pair of studs offensively. Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby are leading the NHL in postseason points. Malkin has 28 points, while Crosby has 27. The Penguins goaltender Matt Murray, following his Game 5 shutout is allowing 1.87 goals per game.

Predators Move Series to Game 7

The Nashville Predators are incredibly tough when playing at home. The Bridgestone Arena has been a tough place to play for opponents. Look for a hungry Nashville team, and a little desperate team to bounce back with a huge win. The Predators move this game to a final Game 7.

The Penguins have been there and done that. Pittsburgh is looking to go back to back, which is awfully tough to do. The Penguins offense is really talented, but in this game, the Predators will slow them down. The final bet is the Nashville Predators -135 over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
