NFL Pick: Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears

It’s time for Week 4 action in the National Football League. One of the top games of the week features two rivals from within the NFC North. The 1-2 Green Bay Packers will visit Soldier Field and take on the 2-1 Chicago Bears. Green Bay is coming off a frustrating loss of a week ago to the Detroit Lions. Their other loss was to the Seattle Seahawks. Green Bay’s lone win came over the Jets in week 2. For the Bears, after falling at home to the Buffalo Bills, they rattled off wins over both San Francisco and the Jets on the road. The Packers beat the Bears by ½ game for the NFC North title a season ago.

The Chicago Bears have a ton of offensive weapons. They have all shown great ability in the early going thus far. Matt Forte, who many felt would be the best options has been the low man thus far. Forte, the running back out of Tulane has yet to rush for a touchdown; in fact only picking up 136 yards through 3 games. While the receivers Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffrey are receiving a lot of the praise, the man in the passing game thus far has been tight end Martellius Bennett. He leads the team with 4 touchdowns; including 20 receptions. Jay Cutler has been good thus far, completing 80 of 121 passes for 750 yards and 8 touchdowns. Chicago ranks 14th in passing yards, and dead last running the football thus far.

For the Packers, a deadly pass offense has not been real sharp in the early going. Aaron Rodgers has passed for just 5 touchdowns in 3 games. Randall Cobb has been the main target for Rodgers; with 14 catches; including 3 for touchdowns. Eddie Lacy has also been a disappointment for the Packers. Lacy has just 113 yards in 3 games, and no touchdowns. The Packers have been defending against the pass; as they rank 6th, allowing just 198.3 yards per game. This is the second of two straight road games for the Packers, and next week they will come home and host the Minnesota Vikings.

This is going to be one of the best games in Week 4. Both of these teams hate each other, and both play their best against the other. We are excited to see the result of this game. We expect Green Bay to play much better than a week ago, and the Bears have some big time defensive questions. This game is basically a pick’em according to Vegas. It has been a point or so both sides in the early going of the betting world. In the end, we are actually going to bet on the road team, and take the Green Bay Packers (pk) over the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon in Week 4 of the National Football League.
