Golden State Warriors vs. Charlotte Hornets – Jan 25, 2017

Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors take on the Charlotte Hornets.

The Golden State Warriors will go on the road for their final game of a 4 game road trip on Wednesday night when they visit the Charlotte Hornets at the Spectrum Center. This game can be seen on ESPN at 8PM ET.

These two have played each other 10 times since 2011, with the Warriors holding a 6-4 SU record against the Hornets but the Hornets are in the lead ATS with a 6-4 record. Golden State has won the last 4 in a row against the Hornets SU and the teams have split those 4 games, 2-2 ATS.

Will The Warriors Lose Back To Back Games?

The Warriors are 38-7 SU and 20-24-1 ATS this year. They are coming into this game off a devastating loss to the Miami Heat by score 102-105. Prior to that loss, the Warriors were on a 7 game winning streak where they were beating teams by an average of 20 points per game.

Golden State Warriors have not lost back to back games since April 2015. The Warriors are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 overall when they are playing on 1 days rest.

Charlotte Will Need a Big Man To Step Up

The Charlotte Hornets are 23-22 SU and 21-23-1 ATS this year. Charlotte is on their final game of a 5 game home streak. In those 4 prior home games, the Hornets went 3-1 SU and 2-2 ATS. They have found trouble when they don’t score points. In the last 10 games, they failed to reach 100 points 4 times and they lost all 4 of those games.

Charlotte’s big men are banged up, as Frank Kaminsky sustained a broken nose and Cody Zeller is dealing with a quad contusion. You will need to check both of their statuses before playing this game.

Warriors Win In Curry’s Hometown

Steph Curry returned to his hometown on Tuesday night where he had his basketball jersey retired by his high school, Charlotte Christian High. Tonight, he will take the court in Charlotte looking to get the Warriors back on track. The last time Curry played in Charlotte, which was last year, he dropped 40 on the Hornets and I expect the same this year.

Curry will have a significant amount of friends and family at the game and he will shine under the lights on ESPN. I’m looking for a big game from Curry. If you are playing NBA DFS today, I would highly encourage you to take a glance at Curry tonight. That being said, my official play will be a 2 STAR play on the Golden State Warriors -9.
