The NBA’s Eastern Conference Finals will head back to Boston Massachusetts as the Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers will face each other in game five Thursday night at 8:30 PM on TNT. The Cavaliers lead the series 3-1 over the Celtics and will be looking to close out the series tonight in Boston.

In addition to the four games between these two in the postseason, they also played each other four times in the regular season. In those four games, Cleveland won three out of four SU and went 1-2-1 ATS. In eight games this year between the Cavaliers and the Celtics, including postseason and regular-season, they have split playing four games over and four games under the posted total.

Cavaliers look to wrap up series

The Cleveland Cavaliers are 62-32 SU and are 43-47-4 ATS. The Cavaliers are 26-21 on the road and a played 55 of their 94 games over the posted total. The Cleveland Cavaliers have won nine of the last 10 game SU and are 7-2-1 ATS. The Cleveland Cavaliers are now 11-1 in the postseason.

In game four, Kyrie Irving led all scorers posting 42 points, which was a playoff high for Irving in their win over the Boston Celtics. Lebron James ended up scoring 34 points, while Kevin Love added 17 points and 17 rebounds.

Injuries Drastically affecting Boston’s postseason

The Boston Celtics are 62-37 SU and are 51-46-2 ATS. They are 35-15 at the TD Garden this year. The Celtics are only 4-6 SU but are 6-4 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

The Celtics are absolutely screaming with injuries on the roster. Last week, they lost All-Star point guard Isaiah Thomas for the remainder of the postseason with a hip injury. They now have three more players that are nursing injuries, that could drastically affect the outcome Thursday night. Jaylen Brown is dealing with a hip issue and it is uncertain if he will be able to play Thursday night. Jae Crowder strained his left thigh in the Celtics last game but sources close to the team say he is expected to play Thursday night. Amir Johnson is dealing with a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder but he is also expected to play game five on Thursday night.

Expect a high-scoring game in Boston

The Boston Celtics have their backs against the wall and are one loss away from being eliminated from the NBA Eastern conference finals. They are a team that beats up physically all around the roster and are facing a very physical team in the Cleveland Cavaliers.

With that being said somehow someway the Celtics will find a way to score points and keep this game competitive. I fully expect a big game from Lebron James and look for this game to end up somewhere in 220s. We will be recommending is game being played over the posted total for two units.
