NBA Betting Preview: Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Los Angeles Clippers- May 15th, 2014

The Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Clippers have had two back to back incredible games that featured huge come backs from both teams. The Clippers made the comeback in Game 4 to avoid going down 3-1, but with the series tied up at 2-2, it looked like the Clippers, who were up by 15 in the fourth were going to grab a commanding 3-2 series lead heading back to Los Angeles. Instead, the Thunder had a huge rally, came back to get the win, and there were some controversial calls, and non-calls at the end of the game. Clippers’ fans, and head coach Doc Rivers weren’t happy, but now they have to re-focus and win this huge Game 6 on their home floor if they want to force a Game 7 back in Oklahoma City.

The Thunder were led by Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant in their incredible comeback, but the high scoring Thunder had three key free throws with a few seconds remaining that gave them a one point lead to grab the win. After that it was a big defensive strip from Reggie Jackson that saved the game and left Chris Paul standing and watching the ball fumble away from him. The Thunder saved their series more than likely, but now they want to end it in Los Angeles instead of going back home.

The Clippers are going to need big games from each and every one of their big name players, and that includes DeAndre Jordan, who will need to be a big factor inside. Chris Paul and Blake Griffin will have to lead the charge though, but most importantly this team is going to need to get past the emotional Game 5 that left them fully stunned and upset. If they don’t play with the right type of emotion, then it won’t matter how this game goes. Expect Rivers to have his team focused up and ready to go though.

Just like the rest of this series, I expect to see some high scoring basketball, but who can force their offensive hand more? The Clippers are at home, and I think that does give them an edge to an extent, and that shows in the sports betting line on the game as well.

Tough game to call, but the Clippers are currently favored by -4 to -4.5 points depending on the sports betting site that you’re using. I think they have the right type of emotion though, and this team comes out and wins this game in pretty impressive fashion to force a Game 7.
