NBA All Star Game Betting Odds

Let us take a break from a little NBA handicapping. Well, not really but we are on all star break in the NBA so let’s take a look at the game itself. We have already handicapped the 3 point contest and the favorite Slam Dunk Competition, so now we will briefly give you some advise on the actual game.

First and foremost, the game is being played at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. The game was originally scheduled to be played in Charlotte, North Carolina however due to the state’s controversial transgender bathroom laws, the NBA made the decision to move the game from Charlotte to New Orleans.

The main talk of the game is Russell Westbrook not starting for the Western Conference. Westbrook is averaging triple double numbers over the course of the year and leads the NBA in scoring, however he is a reserve, not a starter. Reason being, he didn’t receive enough votes from the general public and fans. Fans voted Westbrook 3rd in guards while the players and media ranked him 1st.

Westbrook will play side by side with former teammate Kevin Durant. Things could be interesting since the last game between Oklahoma City and Golden State, words were exchanged and tensions were high. Now, they will once again be teammates and how they co-exist remains to be seen.

This game should be very interesting to watch. I like the Eastern Conference here. They have a well rounded team that can play small ball and run the court if needed. Carmelo Anthony will take the spot of Kevin Love, who is out for the next 6 weeks. Anthony will play alongside LeBron James and they will have the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo playing at SF and Kyrie Irving and John Wall feeding them the ball.
