We kicked off our MLB season on Sunday with a winner in the Chicago vs. St. Louis game, cashing in on a 2 Unit play on the Under in the game. The line was set at O/U 8 and the final score was 4-3 in favor of the Cardinals. Let’s see if we can keep the trend rolling and go 2-0 on the season.

Tonight, we are looking at a game between the L.A. Angels and Oakland A’s. Last night, these same two teams played each other with the the home team Oakland Athletics winning the game by the score of 4-2. Khris Davis homered 2 times in the game

Angels Looking To Rebound From Opening Day Loss

Matt Shoemaker will take the mound tonight for the Angels. Shoemaker had a rough spring training this year posting a 5.29 ERA. Many will recall Shoemaker was blasted in the face last year by a line drive and required surgery to stop bleeding on his brain. Last year against the A’s, Shoemaker was 2-1 allowing only 3 earned runs on 19 innings pitched.

In last night’s game, outfielder Mike Trout went 2-4 with a home run and a double in the game. The Angels hit for 7 hits in last night’s game and will be looking to get their first win of the season Tuesday Night.

Oakland Looks To Start The Season 2-0

Oakland Pitcher Sean Manaea will take the mound tonight and is looking for improvements from his rookie 2016 season that left him with a 7-9 record and a 3.86 ERA over 144.2 innings. Manaea was 0-1 against the Angels last year with a 3.55 ERA

The A’s have lost 90 games in two consecutive seasons after appearing in the playoffs in three years straight. They will look to turn that trend around and get back to the playoffs. The A’s picked up veterans Trevor Plouffe, Rajai Davis, Matt Joyce and Adam Rosales, in addition to retaining catcher Stephen Vogt and outfielder Khris Davis. For the most part, the A’s will look the same as they did last year as they kept most of their team from 2016 intact.

Angels Pound Pitcher Sean Manaea

The Angels beat up on Sean Manaea last year, especially Mike Trout who hit .750 against the young 25 year old pitcher. Some teams just play well against some pitchers and this seems to be a trend forming here between the Angels and Manaea. We will side with the Angels here in the late game in Oakland.

Pick: L.A. Angels (-117) for 2 Units
