March Madness Thursday Total Betting Picks

We are in the midst of March Madness and lot’s of action to play this week. One of the best ways to make some money in the tournament is to find games where you can play the totals on the stats that you are given. Many of these games, many times, we see teams that have never faced one another and there can be some major value within these games. We are handicapping the Top 5 March Madness Thursday Totals bets to play.

West Virginia vs. Bucknell

The first game we are handicapping is West Virginia and Bucknell. The game tips off at 2:45 PM ET. West Virginia comes into this game with the 21st ranked offense in the NCAA averaging 82 points per game. They will take on a Bucknell team that in their last 10 games, have played over the posted total 7 times! Play The Over!

Vanderbilt vs. Northwestern

Two of the top defenses in the tournament square off on Thursday as the 34th ranked defensive team, Northwestern Wildcats, take on the 74th ranked defense, Vanderbilt Commodores. The Commodores last 7 out of 8 games have played under the posted total. The Commodores last 21 out of 31 games on a neutral site, have gone under the posted total. The last 6 out of 9 non-conference games for the Wildcats have played under the total and the last 10 out of 14 games for the Wildcats on a neutral site, have played under. Play The Under!

Maryland vs. Xavier

The Maryland Terrapins are back in the NCAA Tournament and at one point earlier in the year, they were a team that was talked about being a national title contender. They are stacked with talent from top to bottom but for whatever reason, just couldn’t compete as they were expected. They average just under 75 points per game and now face a Xavier team that has the 154th ranked defense in the NCAA. The Terps last 5 out of 8 games have played over and this one should follow suite. Play The Over!

St. Mary’s vs. VCU

The St. Mary’s Gaels have the 2nd ranked defense in all of the NCAA! They only allow their opponents to score 56.5 points per game. They have a great defense but their offense is the complete opposite. Their offense is only scoring 72 points per game, which ranks 203rd in the NCAA. VCU also has a great defense, that only allows their opponents to score 66.4 points per game. Play The Under!

Vermont vs. Purdue

Vermont is one of the hottest teams in the nation on a 21 game win streak. They went on that win streak by playing tough, stingy defense, that only allows their opponents to score an average of 61.6 points per game. They take on a Purdue team that also plays a tough defense that only allows teams to score 67.2 points per game. The total in this game is set at 136 points, which is way too high! Play The Under!
