Jason Dufner Primed to Win Valspar Championships

In what used to be termed the Tampa Bay Classic, the Valspar Championship is coming up this weekend. It’s a PGA Tour event that’s based in Palm Harbor, Florida. The event has been going on since 2000, and played at the Innisbrook Resort, and Copperhead Course. The course is a par 71, 7,340 yards.

The prize money in the Valspar Classic is more than $6M. The tournament record is a whooping 53, shot by Vijay Singh back in 2004. Charl Schwartzel is the defending champion, shooting a 277 last season, beating Bill Haas. Jordan Spieth won the previous season. Let’s take a look at some of the best odds to win the Valspar 2017!

Justin Thomas 10/1

The youngster is one of the favorites to win this event. He seems to continue striking the golf ball well, and we know he can kill it. If he does not win it, there is very little doubt that he will NOT be near the top of the leaderboard once Sunday afternoon gets here. Justin Thomas is 10/1 odds to win this event.

Henrik Stenson 10/1

The reason NOT to take Stenson is the injury, and the illness going around. He did not play last weekend in Mexico due to illness. Stenson has finished runner up in the last two events that he has finished been in the Top 15 the last two times at Innisbrook. If he can fight off the sickness early, he will be in good shape. Stenson is listed 10/1 odds.

Ryan Moore 28/1

Ryan Moore finished in the Top 30 last weekend in Mexico. Look for him to improve off that finish. The last two times he has played this event, he has been in the Top 5. He has been pretty consistent to start 2017, and failed to make the cut just one time in 8 events. At 28/1 odds, you could do worse than Ryan Moore.

Daniel Berger 30/1

Berger seems like a pretty solid play on this course. He has been in the Top 16 or better in two of his last three events, including Mexico last week. Berger has made the cut in six of his last 8 events. Last season, he was 11th in this event, but was looking more comfortable the longer the weekend went. At 30/1 odds, take a look at him.

Charl Schwartzel 40/1

Charl has not played the best as of late, but this is the defending champion. You have got to take him into consideration. He is 15th on the list, with several of the top dogs sitting out this weekend. You can grab him at pretty good odds to go back to back, with 40/1 odds.

Jason Dufner 40/1

Jason has been inside the Top 25 the last three times he has hit the course. Dufner is currently ranked 14th in driving accuracy. He is striking the ball well right now, and at 40/1 odds, it seems like a pretty solid play for this weekend.

This should be a pretty fun weekend of golf. In the end, the winner is going to be Jason Dufner. Yes, Mr. Dufner, who is one of the underdogs of the tournament is going to come away with the win. You can grab him at great odds, +4000. Best of luck betting on Valspar Championship this weekend!
