PGA US Open Betting Picks & Tips

From Erin Hills in Wisconsin, the 117th US Open will take place this weekend. This is the first ever US Open from the state of Wisconsin. Erin Hills is a par 72 course that is nearlt 7,900 yards. There are 156 players that will play in the US Open, and the prize fund is $12,000,000; with the winner netting more than $2.16M. The 2017 US Open will feature 12 player that have won the event, including the 8, dating all the way back to Lucas Glover winning in 2009. The defending champion of the US Open is Dustin Johnson. Let’s take a look at our PGA US Open Betting Picks and Tips:

Dustin Johnson +750

Still ranked as the best golfer in the world, but boy, has Dustin Johnson struggled as of late. The 32 year old missed the cut in his most recent event at Muirfield. He finished 1st in Mexico back in March, and 2nd at the Wells Fargo. Since then, have have not seen D.J. finish in the Top 10. Johnson can kill the golf ball, but his injury at the Masters could be lingering.

Jordan Spieth +1200

How good is Jordan Spieth? Spieth is 7th on the money list and second in the odds to win the event. We have seen Spieth run through events like this before like it’s a miniature golf course. We love Spieth’s game, and his odds at +1200 are pretty intriguing.

Adam Scott +3000

The 36 year old from UNLV is 46th on the moneylist. So what. Adam Scott is one of the Top 10 golfers in the world in our mind. Scott finished 10th at the St. Jude Classic, 31st Muirfield and 6th at the Players Championship. Scott has missed just one cut out of 11 this season. Adam Scott at +3000 is an interesting pick.

Thomas Pieters +4000

If there is a guy out there that is going to win a major event soon, it’s Thomas Pieters. The former University of Illinois golfer has only been in the PGA Tour since 2016, but has shown he can compete with the big boys. Pieters has not played since the Masters, but his last three finishes were in the Top 5. Of course, there were two missed cuts in there as well. At +4000, Pieters is a steal.

Bubba Watson +6600

You can’t look at a list of contenders to win the 2017 US Open without include Bubba Watson’s name in the mix. Bubba Watson is a 38 year old stud on the golf course. The lefthander has had a poor season. Watson has yet to earn $1M on the course this season, and missed the cut in half of his events. Watson though is playing well, with a 6th place finish at the beginning of June.

Our pick to win the 2017 US Open is Thomas Pieters. Yes, a little bit of a surprise, but one of the best talents in the game of golf. Look for Pieters to contend throughout the weekend, and take it down on Sunday. Bet Thomas Pieters +4000 to win the 2017 US Open this weekend!
