  • Where: TPC Potomac; Avenal Farm; Potomac, Maryland
  • Date + Time:  Thursday June 29 – Sunday July 2, 2017
  • Quick Pick: Justin Thomas +1100

After an absolutely thrilling golf weekend that saw Jordan Spieth chip in a birdie shot from the bunker to win in a tiebreaker, the PGA Tour turns it’s attention to the Washington D.C. Area for the Quicken Loans National. It’s only been around since 2007, and typically runs the weekend before the 4th of July. The course is TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm for this tournament. The course is a 7,139 yard course. The purse for this event is more than $7M, and Troy Merritt was the winner in 2015 with -18, and last season Billy Hurley III came away with the win. This is one of the few tournaments given “invitational status” by the PGA and the field is down to 120 players. Let’s take a look at the Quicken Loans National Betting Picks and Tips:

Rickie Fowler +750

Rickie Fowler comes in as the 8th ranked player on the Money List. Fowler has earned nearly $4M on the tour this season. He is coming off a 5th place finish at Erin Hills as part of the US Open. Before that, Fowler finished 2nd at the Memorial Tournament, and earlier in the season was 11th at the Masters. Fowler seems to be playing a little more consistent, and had a hot start at the US Open.

Justin Thomas +1100

4th on the PGA Tour Money List, Justin Thomas is an incredible talent. Just 24 years old, Thomas been on the Tour since 2013. Thomas has played in 17 events, and been in the Top 10 7 times. He failed to make the cut at the Travelers last weekend, but finished 9th at the US Open, including his third round 63.

Patrick Reed +1200

Patrick Reed is one of the most underrated players on the PGA Tour. While he ranks 51st on the Money List, Reed has finished in the Top 10 twice this season. Reed is just 26 years old, and playing some pretty consistent golf. Reed finished 13th at the US Open, despite shooting a final round 74. Reed also finished 5th last week at the Travelers.

Kevin Chappell +2000

The 30 year old is 23rd on the Money List. He has been on the tour since 2008, and this season has gone to 18 events, and finished in the Top 19 three times. Chappell wrapped up a 4th place finish at the St Jude Classic, and that was a month or so after taking down the title at the Valero Texas Open.

Tony Finau +2500

The 27 year old from Utah is 39th on the Money List, and has made nearly $1.7M on the tour. Finau has finished in the Top 10- 4 times this season. Finau has also missed the cut just 5 times out of 20 events. His last four events, Finau has finished 13th, 29th, 40th and 17th.

There it is. Those are some of the favorites to win the Quicken Loans National this weekend. Best of luck with all your betting. After all our homework, we are going to bet Justin Thomas at +1100 to win the 2017 Quicken Loans National. Thomas is ready to grab a title, and this appears to be set up nicely for him. Enjoy!
