Betting Tips for the PGA Tour Honda Classic

This weekend, the Honda Classic will be played on the Champion Course at the PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens. The field is pretty solid, with 12 of the top 25 golfers in the event. A few of the best will not play in the event, with the highest ranked being defending champion Adam Scott. He is currently ranked 7th in the rankings.

The rest of the Top 25 feature Justin Thomas, Sergio Garcia, Danny Willett, Rickie Fowler, Paul Casey, Braden Grace, Russell Knox, Tyrell Hatton, Brooks Koepka, Jimmy Walker and Louis Oosthuzien. Let’s take a look at a few of the favorites for the event:

Adam Scott

Of course, the highest ranked player in the field and the defending champion is going to be the favorite for this event. In his most recent event, at the Genesis Open, he finished tied in 11th, at -9. Scott comes into the event listed at 12/1 odds to win the Honda Classic in 2017.

Justin Thomas

The 23 year old has already won three events this season and earned nearly $4. At such a young age, Thomas has already garnered $10 from the game of golf. The Louisville Kentucky native is currently 8th in the world. He is second in the FedEx standings, with more than 1,600 points. Justin Thomas is third on the list of odds to win, at 18/1.

Sergio Garcia

Recently, he was able to take down the Dubai Desert Classic. He has 9 events on the PGA Tour, with his most recent at the 2016 AT+T Byron Nelson. A professional since 1999, Garcia is currently 9th in the world, but barely in the Top 100 in the FedEx Cup. Garcia has been solid off the tee, and around the green. Sergio comes in as Vegas’ runner up. Garcia is listed at 17/1 odds to win this event.

Rickie Fowler

One of the most popular players on the field. The California native is getting some pretty good looks to win this event. The former Oklahoma State golfer is 14th in the world, but has been one of the best around the green. Fowler has some pretty good odds, especially in his home state. He is listed at 19/1 odds.

Justin Rose

Most commonly known for winning the Gold Medal at the Olympics. Also the winner of the 2013 US Open. Rose is listed at 20/1 odds to win the Honda Classic. The native of South Africa is just 36 years old. There are some rumors that Rose has an injury and still may not play in this event, keep your eyes and ears open!

There is a great look at the Honda Classic, and a few of the guys we are looking forward to seeing. In the end, we are going to take Rickie Fowler to win the 2017 Honda Classic. Fowler has not played the best golf, but being at home will give him a lift, and this course lends to his skills. Bet Rickie Fowler 19/1 to win the 2017 Honda Classic!
