Betting Tips, Picks & Odds for the Dean & Deluca PGA Event

The Dean & DeLuca Invitational is next on the PGA Tour schedule. This event will take place at the Colonial Country Club, in Fort Worth, Texas. This event has been around since 1946, and is one of the five invitational tournaments on the PGA Tour.

The Colonial Country Club is a par 70 that spans 7,204 yards. The prize fund at the Dean + DeLuca Invitational is $6.9M. Zach Johnson holds the all time record at this event, when he went -21 in 2010. It was the second time Johnson won the event. Phil Mickelson has also won the event twice as well. Jordan Spieth came away as the winner last season, knocking off Harris English. Let’s take a look at some betting tips, picks and odds for the Dean + DeLuca PGA event:

Jordan Spieth +650

Many still consider him the best golfer on the planet. He is ranked 7th on the PGA Money List, with nearly $3M in his possession. The 23 year old has missed the cut in his last two events, and was 11th at the Masters. Spieth is the favorite, because of his talent, but the questions still sit with Spieth heading into the tournament.

Zach Johnson +2500

The winner of last years event; 41 year old Zach Johnson is barely inside the Top 100 on the money list. But, as we know from his two titles at Fort Worth, Johnson loves this course. His last two events, he finished 48th and 18th. Remember Johnson missed the cut at the Masters’, but many are projecting him to have a much better weekend this time around. At +2500, the defending champion isn’t a bad look.

Patrick Reed +2800

The 26 year old is 76th on the money list, with just shy of $1M earned. Reed has finished in the Top 25 in his last three events. He was pretty consistent last week at the Byron Nelson, finishing 20th. He has made the cut 13 out of 17 events this season, so that should not be too much of a worry. At +2800, Patrick Reed is in good shape.

Chris Kirk +2800

Chris Kirk is a guy that has been around the top of the leaderboard at this event in the past. The 32 year old from Knoxville Tennessee finished 12th at the Players Championship. He has earned over $1M this season, and is 68th on the money list. Kirk has the ability to put up four days of low scores, which makes his +2800 odds pretty intriguing.

Harris English +8000

Maybe oddsmakers are daring us to bet on Harris English at +8000, but it may not be as crazy as you think. English is 27 years old, and has missed his last four cuts. That’s crazy to put money on this guy, right? Bet at your own risk, but Harris English is a sneaky pick to win the Dean + DeLuca Invitational at +8000.

Those are a few guys that we suggest you take a look at for winning the Dean & DeLuca Invitational. When we break down all the odds, we are going to go with Patrick Reed to win the event. Reed seems to have the tools that can win this event, and the course fits his style well. Best of luck with all your PGA Tour betting!
