Elite 8 Betting Picks & Predictions

Kansas Basketball Elite 8 Betting Picks

Saturday and Sunday is the Elite 8 in Men’s College Basketball. The NCAA Tournament has been great, but we are winding down the season. There are two really good basketball games on Saturday followed up by two more on Sunday. Let’s take a look at the Top Elite 8 Bets.

Xavier Musketeers +8 over Gonzaga Bulldogs

In the first game on Saturday, the underdog of the entire NCAA Tournament to this point will be in action. The Xavier Musketeers will take on the Gonzaga Bulldogs, with the winner heading to Phoenix, and the NCAA Final Four.

The Xavier Musketeers have pulled off three straight upsets to get to this point. Head Coach Chris Mack and his Musketeers were a bubble team heading into the Big East Tournament, but a win over Butler helped them get in. Xavier had lost six straight games in the middle of the season. The Musketeers are 24-13 on the season. Trevon Bluiett has been one of the best players in the tournament, pouring in 25 in the win over Arizona on Thursday.

For Gonzaga, they have just one loss all season. The Bulldogs blew through the West Coast Conference, and are coming off a win over Bob Huggins and the West Virginia Mountaineers. The Bulldogs saw four guys score in double figures, and with the balanced attack are now the favorite to get to the national title game.

Gonzaga has the inside game, and guards that can knock down shots. Gonzaga should win this game, but it will be a close game. Chris Mack’s Musketeers certainly never give up, and will compete all 40 minutes. Look for Xavier to cover the spread in this game, with the Bulldogs to win. Bet the Xavier Musketeers +8 over the Gonzaga Bulldogs.

Kansas Jayhawks -5.5 over Oregon Ducks

Out of the Midwest Region, the Kansas Jayhawks and Oregon Ducks will play for a chance ot head to Phoenix. The Jayhawks are red hot, and have downed two straight Big Ten teams in blowout fashion. Kansas was the Big 12 regular season champion, but lost in the first game of the conference tournament.

Frank Mason is scoring more than 20 points per game, and dishing out 5+ assists per game. The Oregon Ducks are one win away from the Final Four under their head coach Dana Altman. Oregon is coming off a single point win over the Michigan Wolverines. Oregon made the Elite 8 a season ago, only to lose to Oklahoma.

The guard play is going to win this game, and that’s definitely an advantage to the Jayhawks. Bet on the Kansas Jayhawks -5.5 over the Oregon Ducks on Saturday.

Florida Gators -3 over South Carolina Gamecocks

On Sunday, two teams out of the SEC will square off, with the winner heading to Phoenix and play in the NCAA Final Four. The South Carolina Gamecocks will take on the Florida Gators. The Gamecocks come into the game fresh off a 20 point pasting over the Baylor Bears.

Frank Martin’s team has also downed Marquette and Duke to get to this point. The Gamecocks are 25-10 on the season. Sindarius Thornwell is the big scorer for South Carolina, with more than 21 points per game. On the other side, the Florida Gators are 27-8 on the season.

Florida is led by KeVaughn Allen, but Chris Chiozza hit the game winning shot Friday night against Wisconsin. The Gators have tournament wins over Eastern Tennessee, Virginia and the Badgers. Head Coach Mike White is in his second season since taking over the program from Billy Donovan.

These two teams have met twice this season. The first time, the Gamecocks won at home 57-53, and then just a month ago, Florida got revenge, and came away with a 15 point win at home. This should be a pretty competitive game, between two teams that are red hot.

Both teams are going to know each other quite well. The answer here is balance – and the Gators seem to have more balance than South Carolina. The final bet for this game is the Florida Gators -3 over the South Carolina Gamecocks.

North Carolina Tar Heels -3.5 over Kentucky Wildcats

We have two long storied programs in college basketball getting together on Sunday. This game will be played at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, and the winner will head to the NCAA Final Four. The winner of this game will play either the Kansas Jayhawks or the Oregon Ducks.

The Tar Heels are coming off a blowout win over the Butler Bulldogs, which was right after their narrow win over Arkansas. The Tar Heels are the regular season and conference tournament winner out of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Tar Heels come into the game with a 30-7 record. Joel Berry and Justin Jackson were huge in the win over Butler, as they scored a combined 50 points. On the season, the Tar Heels are one of the top scoring teams in the country with more than 85 per game.

For the Wildcats, head coach John Calipari is back in the Elite 8. The Wildcats are 32-5 on the season. Kentucky won both the regular season and conference tournament title out of the SEC. The Wildcats downed UCLA on Friday night, behind a career high 39 points from De’Aaron Fox.

This is going to be a great game, with several great guards. In the end, the Tar Heels are going to outlast the Wildcats. Bet the North Carolina Tar Heels -3.5 over the Kentucky Wildcats.

There you have it. Those are the top Elite 8 bets. Best of luck with all your college basketball betting. Enjoy the games, and may the best teams win!
