LSU Tigers vs. Kentucky Wildcats – February 7, 2017

Bet the OVER in the LSU and Kentucky game on Feb 7.

The Kentucky Wildcats will host the LSU Tigers Tuesday night in NCAA College Basketball. This game has a 7:00 PM ET tip off. These two teams have played each other 10 times since 2011, with Kentucky leading 8-2 SU, but ATS the Tigers hold the edge 6-4 ATS. Let’s look at the LSU vs. Kentucky teams and pick.

LSU On Worst Losing Streak In 6 Years

LSU would truly like to forget about the past 9 games and move forward with the season. They are losers of their last 9 in a row and 8 out of those 9 have been by double digits. This losing streak is the worse in 6 years at LSU.

The Tigers are 9-13 SU and 8-12-1 ATS over the year. They are dreadful 1-5 on the road and are 8-20 ATS over the past 28 games vs. SEC. LSU is allowing their opposition to score almost 89 points per game.

Wildcats Fall From #1 Seed

Kentucky dropped out of the Top 10 for the first time all year this week as they fell to the #15 team in the nation after coming off a 22 point blowout at the hands of the Florida Gators. They have now lost 3 out of 4 games in a row and the game they won, they went to overtime with Georgia. They are 4-5 vs. Top 50 RPI teams and have went from a national title contender to just another team in the SEC. They have sat in most polls at the #1 or #2 seed heading into the big tournament but now find themselves dropping to the #3 seed and in some polls, I’ve seen them as low as the #4 seed.

The Wildcats still have time to turn things around with 8 games remaining but time is running out! The Wildcats are now 18-5 SU and 12-11 ATS on the year. They are 8-2 in the SEC conference play and are in third place. They will get a chance to redeem this past Saturday’s debacle against Florida on February 25 so before everyone panics, let’s see what John Calipari can put together with this team down the stretch.

Play LSU vs. Kentucky Over The Total!

LSU vs. Kentucky is all about Kentucky Wildcats getting back on track against a weak LSU team. The past 15 games in the SEC, the Wildcats have played OVER the posted total in 11 out of the 15 games. The last 4 times these two met in Kentucky, the game played OVER the posted total. The past 7 times these two played each other, the game has gone OVER the posted total 6 out of 7 times.

LSU is also in a spot that makes us believe this game will go over. In their last 14 games overall, they have played OVER the posted total in 12 of those 14 games. No doubt, we are playing the OVER here. I think Kentucky gets back on track and wins this game but I’m not sure they win by the spread. We will avoid the side and simply play the OVER as a 3 Unit Play!
